Today’s post is all about the Look I put up on MY BIRTHDAY , which was also Bastille Day (As the French would call it) July 14th. Before I go into how to wear this late 80s/Early 90s trend. It’s only right I share a few things about Mom Jeans.
The Mom Jeans is a type of women’s jeans worn in the 1980s and early 1990s, considered to be unfashionable and unflattering to the wearer’s figure.
This style of jeans usually consists of a high waist (rising above the belly button), making the ass appear longer, larger, and flatter than it is. Tends to have excess space aound the zipper/leg areas. The jeans are usually in a solid, light-blue color, with no form of stone washing or fading but these days they come in different colors. This post right here,My Mom Jeans aren’t light blue in color but Army Green.
Okay, Let’s take a look on how I wore mine:
Mom Jeans- @VintageDenimm
Turtle neck Black crop top- Local Store in the City
Green Blazer– Thrifted
Black Purse– Thrifted
Silver Shoes- @Csiriano
Whenever mom jeans come to mind, we all think comfort hence most peoples choice to go for a laid back look (Pairing the Jeans with an oversized tee tucked in x Sneakers) which I would totally do every other day but for this post I took it up a notch! Threw on my fitted crop and wore my silver heels (The Silver heels makes the outfit pop more than going for regular black heels). The Blazer was just extraaaaa! It took the look to a whole new level, now I can step out to an event or a friend’s party.
That’s all from me,
